I am M. N. Ashirvadam, born and brought up in a Hindu family. We are five children to our parents. I am only the male child and my grand father named me Narsimha, Nara means Human, Simha means Lion, a Hindu human lion God, my family use to worship this God. My mother was secret believer; she had gone through many persecutions from the family during my teenage. My father also came to know the Lord through my mother's life. I was in 10th grade when I confessed my sins and accepted Jesus Christ and invited Him into my life - I Jn1:7. Though the whole family came to believe in Jesus, I had a desire of finishing good education and take up the responsibility of the family and lead a normal life with good earning. Due to sickness my mother died, it became very difficult situation in which the Hindu people were accusing Christ - because she has taken whole family into Christianity, the Hindu goddess got angry up on her and killed her, which was not true.
During this time the Lord was calling me to tell the truth to them. Being an orphan I committed my life to the Lord to use me as his servant. In the year 1988 Sept. 17th I stopped my studies and joined OM. As I was preaching the gospel in the streets on the back of the truck in South Indian villages and North Indian villages, the lord broadened my vision to work among the villagers and gypsy tribes.
In the year 1990, I got married with Miriam, in the same year we joined SIBS Bible College. After I finished my college studies I concentrated on the call to go to interior villages. By faith we stepped and started preaching the gospel - while I walked into the villages the villagers use to say 'see yesu is going' (see Jesus is going). From such ignorance the Lord touched many people from gypsy tribes and they came to know the Lord. Everyday we use to have difficulties in getting provision.
Gracious God helped us in the ministry and I believe that the Lord established the church planting as we continue to concentrate on the gypsy villages and tribes. Since then the Lord helped us, we are thankful to God. And we continue to be in the vineyard of the Lord Jesus Christ.
